Chris Barras grew up just north of Tampa, Florida, which explains a lot about his irrational love for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He left as soon as he could and moved up north to attend Cincinnati Christian University, where he earned his Bachelor of Church Music degree. Chris and his wife Abby (also a church music major at CCU) moved to Colorado for two years and served at a large church. They then moved to Virginia Beach and started having little babies (three boys, to be exact). The Barras Family moved to Richmond in January 2006. Once in the River City, Chris worked full time at Starbucks and part time with a great church plant in Short Pump. In March 2008, Chris left those jobs to launch Area 10 Faith Community. Today -- when he's not working for the church -- Chris enjoys NFL football, golf, soccer, music, reading, and playing with his family.

In January 2012, he and his family moved to Richmond to serve at Area 10 as the Creative Arts Pastor. Tommy has a passion for connecting people with Christ through both music and the Word. He also has a passion for seeing the Church on mission, and before moving to Richmond, he and his wife spent a year in Bethlehem teaching and serving in various ministries. When not serving at Area 10, Tommy spends as much time as he can with his wife Ashley and his daughters Eden, Emmeline, Vera and Lucy. He loves movies, gaming, exploring, and anything sports. He also is the songwriter and singer for River City Hymnal, one of Area 10's Worship Bands. You can check out their music here.
Jamie grew up in Richmond after moving from South Carolina when she was in elementary school. She’s a graduate of VCU with a Master of Teaching and BS in Mass Communications and has taught all ages in daycare, private nannying, public and private schools and through previous staff ministry experiences for over 20 years. She and her husband, Todd, have two daughters, Ellie & Maggie, and are navigating the middle & high school years by indulging in lots of ice cream! Jamie enjoys doing anything with her family, reading, playing tennis and taking naps when she has free time. Little known fact: Jamie once spent time in a Turkish prison! Seriously though… Jamie is excited to serve in such a vibrant community of faith who express their love of God by loving one another and the city beyond reason!
Chris”topher” grew up in the jungles of Southern California where his love of tacos, Disney, and pop culture gave him all the information he needed to succeed. At 18 Topher gave his life to Christ and a year later was attending Ozark Christian College in Joplin, MO. After receiving his degrees, he moved to New Orleans to work as an associate pastor and outreach director. There he met his wife Leanne. Over the years, Topher and Leanne’s journey took them to Southern CA, back to New Orleans, Nashville and then finally to RVA. Christopher has a deep passion for the Church and serving the community. Landon grew up on the Outer Banks of North Carolina (yes, people actually live there!) where he met his best friend, and now wife, Jo Beth. In 2015, they introduced their son, Liam, to the world and are soaking up this time learning how to be a parents. He graduated from Mid Atlantic Christian University in Elizabeth City, NC having received a Bachelor of Science in Family Ministry and a minor in Church Music. Landon is full time as the Lead Campus Minister at Christian Student Fellowship at VCU, where he is passionate about teaching college-age, young adults about the life transforming love of Jesus Christ. He has played in many different capacities in bands and on worship teams over the past 8 years; from being behind the drum set to playing the bass guitar to holding it down on the piano, but his first love will always be standing behind an acoustic guitar leading people in song. Landon enjoys songwriting, long distance running, games of the video and board type, all Cleveland sports (ouch), and spending time exploring Richmond with his family.
