LOVE WEEK
Our mission at Area 10 is to transform lives in the city, for the city. We believe that God's love has a transformational power to make people and places better, and that part of our call as Christians is to bring light to dark places, to repair what is broken, and to nurture new life where things were once dead.
In the past, one of the ways we have lived this out is through an event called Rise Richmond, a day of service where we don't meet in the Byrd Theatre but instead spread out through the entire city, pouring out love and good will through acts of service. Through this single day of service, with the help of dozens of non-profits, thousands of hours of community service have been poured out on the city of Richmond to show God's love for the people right here in RVA.
Then in 2023, we are ramped it up into a full WEEK of community service projects that we have dubbed "Love Week." Over the course of seven days, we organized a wide variety of opportunities for our church to love our city and its people well.
