CHRIS BARRAS
Chris Barras grew up just north of Tampa, Florida before attending Cincinnati Christian University. Chris and his wife Abby moved to Colorado and then Virginia Beach to serve at churches. The Barras Family moved to Richmond in January 2006 where Chris worked full-time at Starbucks and part-time with a great church plant in Short Pump. In March 2008, Chris left those jobs to launch Area 10 Faith Community. Today when he's not working for the church, Chris enjoys NFL football, golf, soccer, music, reading, and hanging out with his wife and three sons.
Jack Frye
Jack lives with his wife, Mary, and their cat, Lacey, in the Carillon neighborhood of Richmond, VA. Jack is retired from working in environmental conservation but still enjoys spending time outdoors, either on his bike, hunting, or caring for our outdoor garden at 2810. Jack is returning to his position as an elder at Area 10, but he and Mary have been actively involved at A10 for over ten years.
Harrison Jones
Harrison Jones grew up in the Richmond area and recently bought a house in the city with his wife, Christina. Harrison has served in the Air Force and taught at a boys school in Uganda. In his free time, he enjoys doing almost anything to get the adrenaline pumping.
Joaquin Martinez
Joaquin Martinez was recently recalled to service as one of the elders at Area 10. Joaquin lives in the Northside of Richmond with my wife, Amy, and their dog, Bagel. They also have five adult children are enjoying being empty nesters some weeks and hosts to a houseful of young adults others. They also enjoy pouring lots of love and energy into their grandson, Augustine. In his free time, Joaquin enjoys spending time getting to know people by listening to their stories and serving wherever he can.
Riley Smith
Riley lives Chesterfield with his wife, Amber, and our two children, Willow and Hawthorne. They have been plugged in at A10 since 2020. In his free time, Riley enjoys playing football, soccer, music, and learning new things.
Ken Winter
Ken Winter lives in Western Henrico with his bride, LaVonne. He is originally from Florida (Go Dolphins!) but moved to Richmond years ago to serve with the International Mission Board. He now writes Christian novels and books and serves as one of Area 10’s elders.
