MAY
This month’s theme focuses on how God is in control of everything—even the weather! Whether it’s rain, sunshine or unexpected snow, the forecast may surprise us, but nothing catches God off guard. The weather may be unpredictable to us, but it’s never outside His command. He is all-powerful and always prepared, even when we are not. No matter what the skies above are like, we can rest knowing that God remains sovereign over it all.
This Month’s Theme: God Is in Control
This month’s stories show that God is always in control. The early church grew in vast numbers as many chose to believe in God. God led Philip to the Ethiopian at just the right time to share the Gospel. God miraculously rescued Peter from prison, showing His power over human plans. God used Paul to proclaim the truth to people who had never heard it, and He placed Priscilla and Aquila in Apollo’s path to explain the Gospel more clearly. In each moment, God was directing and fulfilling His plan.
Monthly Memory Verse: Yours is the greatness and the power and the glory. (1 Chronicles 29:11)
Big Question (For PreK/Toddler): Is God in control of everything? Yes!
